The pitch film

The pitch film. A speculative app vision told as a day in the life on the hill at Mammoth Mountain. [Add the film length.]

The quick version

A pitch has to make people feel the product before it exists. As a Sr. UX/Product Designer at Bttr, I helped answer an RFP from Alterra Mountain Company with a speculative app vision, told as a day in the life on the hill at Mammoth. We won the work.

The pitch ran in Q4 of 2023. I worked on the sketches that found the idea, the storyboards that paced the film, and the multimedia prototype that brought it to life. [Add one line on what Alterra was looking for.]

The work

A wide board of UX sketches organized in three colored rows of screens and flows
Sketching the idea. Rows of rough screens and flows, grouped by theme. [Add a line on what you explored.]
A storyboard board with scenes, shot frames, and notes for the pitch film
Storyboarding the film. Scene by scene, from the first frame to the last. [Add a line on how the story was paced.]
A frame from the prototype film showing the Community and Social screen next to a woman using her phone
Community and social. A prototype frame that pairs the interface with the person using it.
A frame from the prototype film showing a stack of resort cards behind the app
One pass, many mountains. Resort cards that let a skier move between mountains. [Confirm what this screen shows.]

    What it shows

    • Product vision. A day on the hill, told as a story, made the product easy to believe in.
    • Fast UX thinking. [How the sketches moved quickly from idea to interface.]
    • Multimedia prototyping. [How motion and sound made the concept feel real.] The result: we won the work.
